Queen Mellay and Trelay, candidate for the Dun edin Jockey Club’s meeting, showed up their gallops on the sand track at Wingatui yesterday, Trelay, although not timed, ran a sound trial being assisted over the final stages by his stablemate. Golden River. Superspan (J. Pankhurst) was galloping easily alongside Bel Hat (D. Thomas) over five furlongs in Imin 6sec, the last (wo furlongs in 25 2 ssec Over the same ground Bosa Nova (R. Marsh) and Good Comrade (G. Hcatom were together In 1.6 3-5. the first two furlongs in 26 3-ssec
Blank Cheque (K Pledger) easily ran five in 1.8 after taking 27 3-5 sec for the first two furlongs. ■
Queen Mellay. ridden by her trainer. H. T. Anderton, ran half a mile in 54 3-5, but was only in top gear over the final three in 39 3 5.
