Your honeymoon lusts for ever in snapshots
You’ll have photographs of your wedding to keep always. You may even have movies of this memorymaking day and of your honeymoon. But, the story of this happiest, most exciting time of your life will not be complete without easily shown and shared still pictures of your honeymoon: the beach where you spend hours in the sun, the forest trails you explore together, the resort hotel where you stay. Whatever honeymoon direction you decide on — the wide blue ocean or the high mountains — you’ll cherish forever the first scenes of this wonderful new world of marriage you’re entering. The best way to capture these magic moments permanently in your memory is through photography. Remember that you’re starting an album that will grow in size and value to you and your family in years to come, so it’s worth paying a little attention to the kind of snapshots you take on your honeymoon. Always have people in your pictures. Sceneiy or historic landmarks without a scrap of human interest are only picture-postcards. Speaking of that other couple, and other friends you’ll make on your trip, be sure to send them prints of the pictures you took of them. It’s a friendly gesture they’ll appreciate. Try to have the people In your pictures doing something, not looking straight at the camera. It helps make the scene come alive every time you look at it. Take a few close-ups — six feet is normal with most cameras — against a simple background: sky, water, a tree, a sunlit wall. Some of these may turn out to be the best pictures you have of each other, and you’ll want to have enlargements made. Remember to follow religiously the instructions that come with every roll of film. Sounds pretty obvious, doesn’t it? But you’d be surprised how many people ignore that all-important little leaflet that’s wrapped around every roll of film you buy. It practically guarantees good pictures. Don’t be stingy with film.
