PAPARUA COUNTY COUNCIL TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT, 1953 PURSUANT to Section 21(7) and 33A(2) of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1953, Public Notice is hereby given that the Minister of Works has withdrawn his previous requirements that land be designated for a N.Z.E.D. substation in Old Tai Tapu Road, Halswell, and advises that the designation at present shown in the District Scheme may be uplifted. The Minister of Works now requires that land in Early Valley Road. Halswell, be designated in the District Scheme as Proposed N.Z.E.D. Substation and Housing. The effects of these requirements is that the boundaries of the area originally set aside for the proposed substation in the Lansdowne Valley have been amended. The Council intends to Introduce a change to the District Scheme to incorporate the above requirements as soon as the District Scheme becomes operative and this is expected to be early in 1973. Affected parties will then have the right to object and appeal against the proposal. The above requirements have effect from the date of this notice.
