Shark found drowned

Messrs B. Flutey and D. Robinson, two commercial fishermen who fish for rig, used in the fish and chip trade, were surprised when they were retrieving their net at South Bay, Kaikoura, yesterday. They found that a 25ft basking shark had drowned in it. It took them two hours to free the shark, which then sank before they could get it aboard.
