Commonwealth Games
Sir, —On April 24 I posted a subscription to Commonwealth Games Promotion Canterbury Inc. (or its subsequent formed body), P.O. Box 2285, Christchurch. I eventually had to use P.O. facilities to find out if my registered letter had been delivered. I was passed on to various addresses including accountants, and in my last reply was promised a receipt shortly. I have still had no reply.—Yours, etc., WAITING.
September 8, 1972. [The treasurer of Commonwealth Games Promotion (N.Z.) (Mr G. T. Dowling) replies: “We are just as concerned as ‘Waiting’ that the subscription might not have reached its destination. If ‘Waiting’ will telephone me at 65-369, or write to me at P.O. Box 2285, Christchurch, immediately to identify himself, we can examine our records and ascertain whether the subscription has in fact been received.”]
