Mrs Dieudene Langston, sold; for 6p a time, having made it from a recipe she found in an old book, printed in 1790.1 And yesterday they bought’ up a fresh batch of the pink; crystals. which she had; brewed in her cauldron “be-1 cause they have been beg-[ ging me to make more.” | Mrs Langston, the mother; of three children, said that; she had never needed the! crystals herself, and added: “It all began as a joke, but the potion really does seem to work. The secret brew enhances affection, and is not just a sex thing.” Down at the “local,” the Leg of Mutton, the landlord, Mr Alf Rushton, has been taking no chances. “I haven’t tried it myself, because the doctor told me to take things easy, but a lot of my regulars have. and. judging from the twinkle in their eyes, it really seems to have added a bit of spice to village life,” he said.
