Delays to U.K. mail

The settlement of the dock strike in Britain meant that surface mail dispatches would be resumed there immediately, said the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch (Mr M. T. Reedy) yesterday. Delays could be expected. Nothing has been heard yet of ships being loaded with mail, but 1800 bags of mail loaded aboard the Auckland Star on July 25 are due at Wellington this week-end.
