Fendalton Road

Sir, —Like “R.H.L.” I wondered what all the fuss was about. Typical Fendalton attitude, I thought. Hang on to what we have and blow the rest of the city. Since then, however, I have seen the proposed plan and it filled me with alarm. I challenge “R.H.L.” or anyone else to tell us how another Moorhouse Avenue in the heart of Fendalton will benefit the city. There has never been any opposition to the widening of Fendalton Road. The fight is about how this should be done. If you allow the present plan to go ahead you deserve what you get. —Yours, etc., JOHN LAING (8.E.). August 23, 1972.
