First N.Z. pays 1.4c a unit
First New Zealand Unit Trust will distribute 1.4 c a unit for the six months to June 30, N.Z. Unit Fund Managers, Ltd, has anounced. The distribution will absorb $26,600, leaving a carriedforward balance of $2114.96. The chairman (Mr F. H. Renouf) says that despite a reduced number of units on issue, income in the halfyear was about $lO,OOO more than in the corresponding period last year. The number of units on issue on June 30 was 1,900,000 and the portfolio was valued (on an undisclosed basis) at $1,843,034. The gross income for the six months was 2.169 c a unit. The management fee was 0.359 c a unit, trustees’ fee 0.160 c, and taxation 0.182 c a unit.
