Britain will fly out the first 15,000 Asian holders of British passports facing expulsion from Uganda within a few weeks, the British High Commissioner in Kampala (Mr Richard Slater) announced today. He told a press conference: “We have authority from London to grant entry certificates with immediate effect to about 3000 heads-of-families whose applications for vouchers have already been processed. “This means the movement within the next few weeks of about 15,000 Asians with United Kingdom passports.”
