Eighty seek award
Eighty entries — a record number — have been received for the 1972 Loxene “Golden Disc” award. The secretary of the award committee (Mr P. S. Williams) said it was apparent by the response that the inclusion of 1972 “Studio One” entries had given greater emphasis to the award. I “Also, the newly introduced condition of entry — I only one track from each ■ individual artist or group can 'be nominated — has in no [way limited the response 'from artists and record com- ! panies,” he said. j The eliminations began Hast night.
