Parents killed by lightning
(N.Z.P.A.-Riuter—Copyrignt) BILBAO (Spain), Aug. 13. Two young English children were under the care of a British consular official in Bilbao yesterday after their father—a Sheffield headmaster —and mother were killed by a bolt of lightning while on a camping holiday. Mr John Nicholson, who was 36 the day before his death and his wife, Dorothy, aged 34, were billed by electric shock as they lay sleeping in their tent under a tree in the mountains south of Bilbao during a violent thunderstorm.
Their sons David, aged 9, and Peter, aged 6, were sleeping in another tent nearby and were unaware of the tragedy until later in the morning when they tried to rouse their parents.
