(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. Six Canterbury players have been chosen for the southern zone under 19 Rugby league team to play northern zone at Wellington In September. The side is:— T. Jamieson, M. Brandon (Wellington), E Pascall (Canterbury), M. Isaacs (Taranaki), R. Seawood. B. Dickinson (Canterbury), G. Church (Wellington), D. Millward (Canterbury), H. Tamati (Taranaki), W. More (Wellington), G Findlay, S. Hatipov (Canterbury), K. Amati (Wellington). Reserves.—V. Tamata (Taranaki), G. Greany (West Coast).
Results of the southern zone tournament played in Wellington at the week-end, and won by Canterbury, were:— Saturday.—Canterbury 14. Taranaki 0; Wellington 18. West Coast 0 Sunday.—Taranaki 32, West Coast 5; Canterbury 15. Wellington 10.
