Help from Birthright
More than 1000 children from 353 families are being helped by Birthright (Christchurch), says the president (Mr C. F. Whitty) in his annual report, to be presented on August 30. “It is perhaps a disquieting fact of society in general that the number of families and children being assisted continues to grow,” he says.
“This factor exerts a considerable pressure on some zone chairmen where there is a shortage of counsellors,” Mr Whitty says. Mothers of Birthright children, and interested persons, are invited to attend | the annual meeting, to be held at Aldersgate.
