A. C. Manley suspended

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The jockey, A. C. Manley, was suspended from riding till August 12 by the Paeroa Racing Club’s judicial committee on Saturday for causing interference during the last furlong of the Maiden Stayers’ Handicap. After the running of the race a protest was lodged by J. H. Hely, the owner-trainer of the fourth horse, Moorea. against Syndare (Manley), which finished third. The committee upheld the protest and promoted Moorea to third and relegated Syndare to fourth.
