Press Assn.—Copyright) DORADO (Puerto Rico), July 24. “Swim-suit curves” would be played down at the “Miss Universe” contest at Dorado this year to prevent the discouragement of any of the 61 entrants, said a spokesman for the organisers. Swim-suits will not be worn during preliminary appearances.
But the girls will parade in swim-suits, national costumes and evening gowns during the finals, and all eliminations will be made then. Only the best national costume will be chosen during the preliminary.
