Dibley dominated the match with his powerful service and forehand drives which kept Crealy at full stretch. Crealy tried desperately to reduce the tempo of the match, which was played in humid heat, but could not upset his opponent. New Zealand’s O. Parun beat the Brazilian, E. Mandarine. 6-1, 6-3, for third place.
