July 23. A man was killed near Palmerston North on Saturday evening when he was struck by a car after he had left his own car after a collision. He was

Terence William Callaghan, aged 20, of Richmond, who was employed in Palmerston North by the Department of Agriculture.

Mr Callaghan was involved in a collision two miles south of Palmerston North at 6.15 p.m. A police spokesman said Mr Callaghan left his car to walk to the other vehicle, and was struck by a third car.
