“Grave concern” that Burn-, side High School had been I deprived of playing-field land by the Government’s action in deciding to sell for hous- | ing the land on the school’s Memorial Avenue frontage was expressed by the Waimairi County Council on Thursday evening. Cr I. G. Clark criticised the Government for its “short-sighted policy,” and it was decided ;to send a protest to the ! Minister of Education (Mr‘ I Pickering), and local members of Parliament.
