New council member
Mr A B Kindred, a 21-year old former New Zealand swimmer. was inducted as a member of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association’s council at its annual meeting last evening Mr Kindred has accepted the position of resident delegate for the Waikato centre. Now active in surf life-saving and water polo, Mr Kindred trained in Waikato in the 197071 season before the 1971 championships at which he won three national titles
Cricket.—The selectors, named yesterday, for the New Zealand secondary schools cricket team i to visit Australia in January, are: Messrs T. J. Rigby (Wellington , !the convenor, A. E. Dick (Hutt Valley) and I. P. Anderson (Christchurch). The team will Ibe announced in about three weeks.
