The top scorers fo: Auckland were B. Beard (25) and J. Whelan (22). Coca Cola had a tough match against Christchurch Y.M.C.A., emerging with a 69-55 victory Y.M.C.A’s 6ft Bin H. Dimock and R. Millard and the American, K McMaster, both 6ft 7in. provided a formidable task for Coca Cola’s big men. Lack of outside shooting by Christchurch hindered its chances of reaching the semi finals. Millard ana McMaster each scored 11 points. Other results were: Marist 95 Tennis (Nelson) 52; Northen (Auckland) 81, Tigers (Hawke Bay) 58.
