WELLINGTON, July 17.
An experienced producer of British television programmes, Mr Eric Price, has signed an initial three-year contract with the N.Z.B.C. as an executive producer. Mr Price, aged 40, a New Zealander, has worked for both the 8.8. C. and Independent Television since 1956 and has produced such programmes as “Coronation Street.” “Softly Softly,” and “Dr Finlay’s Casebook.”
The Director-General of the N.Z.B.C. (Mr L. R. Sceats), said today that Mr Price’s appointment would be particularly beneficial in the corporation’s move into colour television. Initially he will conduct colour conversion courses for N.Z.B.C. production staff. Mr Price attended Auckland University and teachers’ training colleges in Auckland and Dunedin. He has also held lectureships at the Auckland Education Department, Ardmore Teachers’ College and Carolina University.
