Schultz ‘Derby prospect’
CN.Z. Press Assn^—Copyright) SYDNEY. Schultz, rated a Derby prospect after his convincing win in the Macarthur Quality Handicap at Rosehill on Saturday, will have his next run in the Hobartville Stakes at Warwick Farm on August 19. The New Zealand-bred gelding had to overcome difficulties to win as he wanted to "hang out” for the major part of the race. Schultz is owned by Mr W. Hackett and is trained by T. Brosnan. The win gave the Hackett-Brosnan combination its thirteenth metropolitan win of the season. Cool Alibi (Alcimedes (imp.)— Akenehi), after running a host of placings in recent months, broke through to win the Coomba Graduation Stakes over two miles. The four-year-old which is owned by the "chicken kings,” Messrs J. H. and R. W. Ingham, was untroubled to win by six lengths, in the excellent time of 3min 32 2-ssec.
