Demise of a newspaper
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, July 13. The “Washington Daily News” published its last issue today, headlining its front page “Farewell.”
It announced that its name and certain assets had been acquired by its only competitor in the evening field, the “Washington Star.” No sale price was disclosed.
