WHAT THE WOOLGROWERS’ ACTION COMMITTEE BELIEVES • That the majority of wool growers in this country are opposed to compulsory acquisition of their wool clip. • That the vote taken at the Dominion Meat and Wool Section of Federated Farmers does not reflect the majority of woolgrowers’ opinion. • That the Wool Board has denied woolgrowers the right and the opportunity to fully discuss, consider and vote upon the scheme. • That the Wool Board has pushed the scheme through with unseemly haste and against majority opposition. • That the necessary changes and improvements to the wool industry can be met without total acquisition of the wool clip. • That a referendum should be held immediately to determine accurately the wishes of the woolgrowers of this country in respect of the Wool Marketing Corporation proposal. Inserted by the N.Z. Woolgrowers’ Action Committee, P.O. Box 11-137, Wellington.
