Rises outnumbered falls by a good margin, and the improvement among the leaders indicated more confidence in their profit prospects than
there has been in the recent past.

Progressive Enterprises j showed a 6c rise to 275 c, ex a 5.5 c dividend. Regina Confections, which i reported an increase of 58.8 per cent in net profit last i month, jumped 20c to 90c. D.I.C. came back another 15c to 240 c and F.T.C. was , marginally changed with a 1c j fall at 150 c as was Wattie at 126 c.
