The Budget
Sir, —Your correspondent Mark D. Sadler must enjoy looking on the black side if he considers the expansion in the Budget will dissipate accumulated overseas reserves. Or does he just enjoy frightening people with thoughts of real hardship? It is certainly logical to credit the Government with present prosperity after the emphasis placed on results gained from increased production. “A. B. Cedarian” can be assured that I am not hooked on any
Government aura of smug self-satisfaction or his either. The term “own commission” was used in the sense of “own appointed commission” and should not have been beyond your correspondent’s comprehension.—Yours, etc., SATISFIED. July 12, 1972.
