Recognition for Toastmasters

The New Zealand district of Toastmasters International has been recognised as an adult education organisation by the National Council of Adult Education Agencies. There are 40 clubs throughout the country with a total membership of about 1200. Timaru men constitute most of the national council of the Toastmasters Club for 1972-73. The New Zealand ! governor is Mr R. L. Morse, the district secretary’, Mr D. J. Waite, and the district treasurer, Mr N. P. Guthrie, all of Timaru. The new Canterbury area governor is Mr A. C. Wilson (Timaru). He has control of the five clubs between Timaru and Nelson.
