Schooling over brush hurdles

Trainers in the lower half of the North Island will not want for chances to give their horses schooling experience over brush hurdles before the Grand National meeting. The Canterbury Jockey Club arranged on Monday to freight four panels of its brush hurdles to Palmerston North. These should be available for schooling in the form of two 20ftwide hurdles from tomorrow.

The secretary of the Wanganui Jockey Club (Mr I. Boyland) yesterday announced that his club would make four of its brushes available for schooling between now and the Grana National meeting. The Wanganui club introduced brush hurdles in June, 1963.
