Pursuant to section 52 of the Rating Act, 1967, and the Counties Act. 1956, further notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Heathcote County Council at an ordinary meeting to be held on July 27, 1972, at the Council Chambers, 66 Colombo Street, Christchurch, at the hour of 7.30 p.m., to make the following rates for the year commencing on the first day of April, 1972, and ending on the thirtyfirst day of March, 1973. (1) GENERAL RATE: Under the provisions of section 105 of the Counties Act, 1956, a general rate of .49c in the $ on the capital value of all rateable property In the County of Heathcote. (21 WATER RATE: Under the provisions of section 118 of the Counties Act, 1956, and pursuant to the provisions of part 33 of the Heathcote County By-law No. 1, 1932, a rate of ,1454 c in the $ on the capital value of all rateable property In the County of Heathcote provided that where such rate would produce less than $6 a rate of $6 be made and levied, such rates shall be reduced to one-half in respect of all lands and dwelling bouses to which water can be, but is not, supplied situate within 100 yards from any part of the water works and on all buildings other than dwelling houses. (3) OTHER LOCAL BODIES: (a) Museum rate: A museum rate of .01042 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote. (b) Fire protection rate: A fire protection rate of ,05696 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote. (c) Town Hall rate: A Town Hall rate of ,0209 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote. (d) North Canterbury Catchment Board: An administrative rate of .021844 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote. Waimakariri - Eyre - Cust rate: Separate rates as set out hereunder on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the Countv of Heathcote and as defined in the classification list of the sixteenth day of April, 1956 Class D: .009845 c in the $. Class F: .003281 c in the $. (e) Christchurch Drainage Board, sewer maintenance: A rate of .1517 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote within such portion of the said sewage area. Land and stormwater drainage: A rate of 1472 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote within such portion of the said drainage area. Sewer loan: A rate of 1499 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote within the special area. (f) Christchurch Transport Board: A rate of .10728 c in the $ on the capital rateable value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the County of Heathcote within the Christchurch Transport Board area.

The said rates to be due and passable to the Heathcote County Treasurer on the fourteenth day of August, 1972, at the Heathcote County Offices, 66 Colombo Street, Christchurch. The valuation rolls for the County of Heathcote are open for inspection by ratepayers during office hours at the County County Chambers during office Street’. Christchurch 2.
