Outdoor life policies

(X Z Pre ft Affectation > GISBORNE, July 10. Government policies on New Zealand outdoor life have been attacked by the retiring national president ot the Deerstalkers’ Association, Mr J. B. Henderson, of Wellington. Speaking at the association’s annual conference. Mi Henderson listed the policies as the "battles for the Tonganro River, and Lake Manapouri, game management, wildlife research, the alienation of Crown land, the trespass law and the commercialisation of fish and game." He accused Ministers of "having out-manoeuvred” New Zealanders on all these points, and said the Government had been derelict in its duty in respect to the alienation of Crown lands.
