Complaint by trainer

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. The Wingatui trainer, R. Heasley, thought that Baghdad Note would have received at least 51b less than the 9-2 he has been allotted in the $50,000 Metropolitan Handicap to be run at Randwick on October 2. “Baghdad Note has not won a race since the 1970 Melbourne Cup. He was beaten in last year’s Caulfield Cup and also in a couple of races since, but the handicapper has not dropped him an ounce on the weight (9-2) he was given in last year’s Melbourne Cup,” said Heasley.
