Ballroom dancing results
Two Christchurch ballroom dancers have qualified for the fourth Pacific ballroom dancing championships in Sydney, giving them a chance to compete in the 1972 world amateur championships in October. They are Mr M. Jenkinson and Mrs Lorraine Le Febvre. who won their event in the Canterbury final of the fourth Pacific championships held in Christchurch recently. The championships were organised by the Australian-New Zealand branch of the Federal Association of Teachers of Dancing.
The judges were Mrs A. Chapman and Mr L. Farrant, of Wellington, Mesdames A. Butler and N. Wilson and Mr D. Sanderson (chairman of judges), of Christchurch. 1

Medal award.—A gold medal for service to Austria was presented to an Austrian-born New Zealand citizen, Mr F. C. Korrick, in Wellington. Mr Korrick has been the representative for the Austrian Travel Bureau in New Zealand for 20 years.—(P.A.)
