RED CHIPS LAME
Red Chips was lame after the: Donald Grant Memorial, in which he ran third, at Washdyke on Saturday, and stewards ordered a veterinary examination of the gelding. The club’s veterinary surgeon told stewards that in his opinion Red Chips had either some ligament trouble or a type of arthritis in a foreleg, and that the horse should be spelled and treated.
