The first semi-final of “The Press'* Cup junior soccer penalty-taking competition was held at English Park on Saturday and four out of six was the best achieved against the Christchurch United reserve goal-keeper, W. Weir. Grant Price (Nomads United) and Michael Fulham (Burndale) each beat Weir four times, and Chris D’Ath (Cashmere Wanderers) netted three. The second semi-final will be at half-time in United’s national league match against Auckland Citv on July 22. Taking part then will be David Allen (Nomads United). Simon Greenwood (Technical), and Colin Pearson (Shamrock).
