Aust. team listless

(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright l NOTTINGHAM.

An apathetic Australian side was beaten by 57 runs by a Cricketers’ Association XI at Trent Bridge yesterday. After dismissing the powerful Association team for 219 with three balls of the allotted 50 overs remaining, the listless Australians replied with 162 at the end of their 50 overs and still had five wickets in hand. It was their third tour loss —and their second in a minor one-day fixture. Scores: Association XI 219 (B. L. D’Oliveira 75, A. W. Greig 37; D. Watson 3/39, J. Hammond 3/51), Australia 1162/5 (A. P. Sheahan 50, J. T. Inverarity 47 not out; T. I Cartwright 3/25).
