Marlborough won narrowly, but convinc- 1 ingly, 21-18, after trailing , 7-11 at half-time. The tourists lacked pene- j tration in the backs although l gaining a good share of the jail. After a losing run of 10 games, East Coast went close to beating Thames Valley at Ruatoria yesterday. The match was drawn, 10-10. For East Coast, tries were scored by D. Repa and A. Cross, with B. Karaka converting one. J. McCollum scored a try and O. Passu kicked two penalties for Thames Valley.
