SPORTING GESTURE

Co-operation between codes has been a feature of the training sessions conducted by the 1971 Kiwis In preparation for their match against the South Island Rugby league XIII at the Show Grounds today. The Albion Rugby Union Club willingly provided the use of its ground and changing facilities at Middleton Park, which is within easy walking distance of the Kiwis’ hotel. The liaison officer with the Kiwis (Mr W. A. Whitehead) said that the Canterbury Rugby League was most appreciative of Albion’s gesture.
