Geology, Physics, Psychology, Zoology; or in the Institute of Geophysics. The main purpose of the awards is to contribute to research programmes current In the university. In addition to carrying out programmes of research, the successful applicants will be expected to participate In limited teaching activities without further emolument, the nature and extent of these activities to be agreed with the head of the appropriate department, who will naturally have regard to the main purpose of the award.
