Pigeon racing
H. Munro won the Rothmans South Island Futurity 180-mUe Picton . to • Christchurch pigeon race.
A total of 689 birds were sent to Picton for the annual event, which was competed for by owners from all over New Zealand. Strong nor* westerly winds mode the race a moderately stiff test for the birds. Results were: — H. Munro, 1128.67 yds per mln, 1; H. Clemens, 1123.0, 2; T. Kemp (D. O'Hare), 1121.4, 3; D. and G.
