DEATH FROM COLLISION

One of four persons injured in a two-car collision on Sunday afternoon died in the Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday. He was Peter Thomson, a grocer, of 121 Sherborne Street, St Albans, who suffered serious chest and leg injuries in the accident. His wife, Lena Thomson, is still seriously ill in Christchurch Hospital with head injuries. A pedestrian, Mr Zygmuwe Kwaitkowski, of 455 Gloucester Street, Linwood, suffered serious head injuries when he was hit by a car in Gloucester Street, about 100 yards east of Stanmore Road, at 6.50 p.m. yesterday. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital where his condition last evening was reported to be poor.
