national, D. Hunt, to reach the second round of the AllEngland Badminton Championships in London. The 29-year-old player from New Plymouth just edged home—by 15-12,12*15, 15-4.
Purser, who competed in the championships in London in .1965 and 1966, was very pleased by his win. .. "I lost to David twice recently in provincial tournaments, and it was nice to win ; the big one here. I was very pleased with the way things went,” he said. Purser’s second-round opponent will be the West German, M. Schnaaze, another unseeded player;
