"The Spanish Farm”
The heroine of “The Spanish Farm,” a four-part serial adapted from R. H. Mottram’s trilogy of novels about the 1914-18 war, is Madeleine, a farmer's daughter; the "hero? is the farm. Neither emerges from the war unscathed, but both will continue in their way of life. What Madeleine Vanderiynden loses in the course of the war makes her determine, at the end of it, to get everything back sou by sou; and to pay herself for everything she has suffered. Madeleine is played by Caroline Mortimer; Jerome, her father, by Jack Woolgar; the, Baron, his landlord, by Cyril Luckham; Georges, the Baron's son by Carl Rigg; and Scene, an English officer, by Cavan Kendall.
"The Spanish Farm" was adapted by Lennox Phillips, directed by Gerald Blake, ana produced by David Conroy for the 8.8. C. It starts screening from CHTV3 next Thursday.
