(N.Z. Press Association? WELLINGTON. The New Zealand softball team had a 4-2 win over the Welling-ton-Hutt Valley AU Stars In Wellington on Saturday. With the AU Stars leading 2-0 at the top of the fifth Innings, B. Nichols hit a two-run homer to put the visitors ahead. The AU Star starting pitcher, A. Wishart, kept the New Zealand batters tied down and unable to string their hits together. He held his own with O. Walford, the first pitcher used by New Zealand, and J. Dawson, who replaced Walford in the fourth innings. Wishart, who was replaced by J. Fowler after seven innings, recorded nine strlke-outs and gave eight hits and two walks. Walford, in his three Innings, struck out three batters, conceded three hits and one walk. Dawson gave two strlke-outs and two hits.
