An American newcomer, R. McClean and the Filipino veteran, B. Arda, scored six-under-par 67s to share the first-round lead in the Indian Open golf championship. Just behind were the New Zealander, W. Godfrey, on 68, and Japan’s Katsayuki Hirano on 69.
