Third win

For the third successive year, readers of an Australian motoring magazine, “Modern Motor,” have chosen the Jaguar XJ6 as the best all-round car regardless of cost. B.M.W. was second, and the Falcon GTHO came third. The XJ6 was also selected as best personal luxury car, with Mercedes second and RollsRoyce third. During 1971, 1624 Jaguar and Dataller cars were shipped to Australia, a new record and three times as many as in 1968. The 1970 total was 1278 cars.
