Inter-school swimming

Canterbury representatives were prominent in the flnals of the Christchurch Inter - secondary schools* girls* swimming sports held at the Sockburn Park Pool. Each swimmer was only allowed to compete in one event but the senior girls’ two lengths freestyle had three centre representatives In the flrst three Blaces.8 laces. Miss J. Parkhouse won le event from Misses P. Horne and Z. Wilson. Miss S. Hunter had a comfortable win in the senior backstroke, while the winners of the intermediate breaststroke. Miss E. Archer, and the junior breaststroke, Miss W. WakefleUL both had times several seconds better than the winner of the senior breaststroke event.
