PAVOLUSS WINS

"The Press” Special Sereice CAMBRIDGE. Jumbo Jet, the winner of the Queen Elizabeth II Handicap at Singapore last week-end, when ridden by Lester Piggott, is the former New Zealand galloper, Pavoluss. Initially, Pavoluss was trained at Rlccarton by R. P. Register for Mr J. Y. Scales. He is a five-year-old gelding by Pavot from the Balloch mare Lady Luss.

Pavoluss won the Autumn Nursery Handicap at Riccarton in 1969. Later he was purchased by Mr J. K. Cameron, of Cambridge, and put into training with J. W. Winder at Cambridge.

Before he raced in the north, Pavoluss was sold by Mr Cameron to the Singapore trainer, I. Allen.
