Star-gazing is right up my alley (oh dear, I always have been a dreamy type) . . . but Mr Barnard at PHOTO OPTICS brought me up with a round turn when he mentioned his telescopes designed for star-gazing in the literal sense. Optical things are fascinating—l’m sure you’ll agree. Think of microscopes for observing the tiniest thing, binoculars for bringing distance closer, a camera for recording your pleasure or a projector for showing that record. PHOTO OPTICS have an excellent range of all these things, including miscroscopes from only $9.40 and telescopes from $4.71. Mr Barnard is well equipped to give you loads of advice, and there are also excellent guide booklets such as “An Introduction To The Telescope,” priced at only 74c. Enquiries are welcomed at 40-985. Better still why not call and browse around at PHOTO OPTICS, Corner of Armagh and New Regent Streets. ★ ★ ★ ★
