Curried beans and rice

Curried beans and rice requires less than half an hour to prepare but it ends up as a very worthwhile meal in all respects. To serve 4 you will need:— 1 large tin baked beans Bozs minced steak 1 onion 1 dessertspoon flour 1 cup rice

Butter; Curry powder; Salt Method: Cook rice after washing well under a running cold tap in boiling salted water until just tender; drain well and dry. Melt some butter or oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion in this until it is transparent, add the minced

steak and continue to fry until the meat is lightly browned. Stir in the flour and curry powder according to individual taste and cook for a further minute or two. Then stir in the baked beans and heat thoroughly, stirring to blend well. Taste for seasoning and add required salt. Serve with the freshly boiled rice.
